I had a constant problem with Toshiba Flash Cards which interfered with pretty much everything. Windows would crash and I was forced to restart five times (at least) a day. I wanted to disable this ‘feature’ that I never even used.
The Control Panel provides no way to disable this (waste of resources and a constant problem) program.
The Toshiba Utility tool only let me deactivate the Flash Cards. This means that the Flash Cards would not appear on screen, but they still load during startup.
Here are the steps how to uninstall Toshiba Flash Cards for good. A note; at the end of these steps you will get a message asking of you want to
restart your computer now, or later. If you are going to do it now, save all your work before doing these steps.
- Go to your Start menu and select Run
- Type in msconfig (a window will open)
- Go to the startup tab
- Unclick the box in front of Toshiba
- Click OK
- Restart you system
No joke, I have been fighting with this for a week and finally have it gone.
