OK, it’s finally happened.
Tip’d is out of a one year beta and has officially launched.
They have added some improvements that should make users happy:
- Published stories get direct links.
- No redirects, and no ‘nofollow’ directives
- ‘business’ and ‘entrepreneurship’ categories added
- The down-voting function (‘Topple’) has been overhauled
- Subscriptions to receive published articles via e-mail
- Upcoming stories can be sorted chronologically or by popularity
- More effective duplicate submission detection
- Better spam handling
At the time of this writing, Tip’d has over 1800 members, including me, who have submitted thousands of articles.
It is an active place, and you should definitely check it out.
