Right now this sidebar widget works from any language to the destination language. Flags were the best way to set it up. I am making it a plugin, come back at the end of May to pick that up.
I have 2 rows of 12 will have to do; it looks like the graphic just above, in fact it is the graphic just above!
You can stick the code in your sidebar or a widget panel text box. Add in a double break if you want a clear line separating the rows of flags.
The sidebar version looks like it looks like the graphic just to the right, in fact it is the graphic just to the right!
Here are the languages associated with the different flags.
For Arabic I used the Arab League flag, for China I used the Taiwanese flag for traditional and the Chinese flag for Simplified. No real reason, I just had to make a choice.
Arabic
Bulgarian
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
Croatian
Czech
Danish
Dutch
English
Finnish
French
German
Greek
Hindi
Italian
Japanese
Korean
Norwegian
Polish
Portuguese
Romanian
Russian
Spanish
Swedish
